Elgato Game Capture HD60 S At Mighty Ape NZ

The capture card market isn't a particularly flashy segment when it comes to consumer tech. Now, your setup is powered by superior low latency technology, and the built-in Live Streaming feature gets you up and running on Twitch or YouTube in a snap. I have been seeing a lot of tutorials for connecting Elgato Game Capture HD60 S to OBS, but I didn't like the way they were done.

I've encountered the most struggle when using the Elgato Sound Capture section of Game Capture HD. It catches team chat, background music, or just overall PC gameplay audio with the press of a button. While the Game Capture software had some neat scene-switching capabilities, the gameplay screen size is fixed at full screen, which meant I couldn't use my own custom overlay without it overlapping onto the game feed itself.

So it's good that anyone can use this software to also stream their gameplay online to a variety of services, including Twitch, YouTube and Dailymotion. Elgato Game Capture HD doesn't need a lot of cables or even a power supply to record your game: With direct Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 input, you can use a single cable to connect it to your console.

With the HD60 S this can all be done in real time if streaming or for Let's Play type video's can store the files locally to be edited in either the included software or in your video editor of choice then uploaded to your platform of choice. The latest USB 3.0 interface enables minimized latency for the recording or streaming, and the Type-C port is small and reversible, making for easy elgato gaming setup insertion.

The HD60 S is so compact that it is usable for streaming and recording on the go. All you would need is a laptop, console and the HD60 S. Users can access the Elgato Game Capture HD software for easy content recording. The Elgato Game Capture HD is made for pure game capture, with its ability to capture analog video, save it to your PC, and allow you to review these captured videos later.

It's not all that often to come across a product where there's almost nothing bad to say about it, but aside from the Stream Command issues, that's it. The HD60S is fantastic. Gamers on a budget will get effective use out of 1080p30 recordings for both streaming and YouTube purposes.

More specifically, the ASUS Crosshair VI Hero motherboard (which is an AM4 based motherboard using the X370 Chipset) was not detecting the Elgato HD60 Pro. However, the software is compatible with OBS so can still use their preferred streaming software to stream; and the Elgato software has enough options to make it adequate for newbie streamers to use.
